ELEPHANT LAND - CHIANG MAI
Alright, finally, my piece on Chiang Mai. Was there from 5-8 March. At last a destination other than Macau. First up, a pic of our room at D2 Hotel, under the Dusit group. Fantastic! They upgraded us to the studio suite upon check in. Had a welcome dirnk of lemongrass juice in a cute little 不倒翁glass and then shown to our room by one of the staff. Nice start.

Went to Ithanon National Park, Mae Sa Elephant Camp, Waterfall, Doi Suthep (but it was undergoing restoration works). Night Market was just outside our hotel. Massage was pretty good and more importantly, super cheap! Ate lots of Pad Thai, fried rice, tom yum goong. Loved shabu shabu there. If I go BKK for Thai Open, I'm gonna try Shabu-Shi. The queue was ridiculous. Didn't buy much, but took loads of pics. =) Haven't quite gone through them all.
Finally got the girls something for like the first time. Thought the leather straps were quite cute. Earrings were like 40cents a pair? Pendants $1.50/$2? If my earholes were all still open, I'd buy a lot more lah. Anyway, lousy description of my whole trip but would love to go back again sometime soon. =)
